Bring all of you to the table
Mind-body (a.k.a. embodiment) coaching is a holistic form of life coaching that invites both your body and your mind into the process of transformation.
This approach works with the powerful feedback loop between body and mind—how your physical state influences your thoughts, emotions and behaviours—and vice versa.
Rather than staying exclusively “in your head,” you'll be guided to tune into your body—your sensations, emotions, posture, breath and more.
From this grounded place, you get to explore new possibilities and actions that align with your values and deeper self.
Practical and effective — and often fun!
Unlike traditional ‘top-down’ coaching, which focuses on changing thoughts to change behaviour, mind-body coaching works primarily from the ‘bottom up’, that is, starting with what’s happening in your body.
However, we don’t leave the mind behind! Your beliefs, stories and inner dialogue are an important part of the picture, too, and we’ll work with them when needed.
Over time, you’ll learn how to embody the changes you want to make, whether that means shifting emotional states, adopting new thought patterns (backing these up in the body), or stepping into more empowered ways of acting and being.
What to expect in a session
In our confidential, compassionate sessions, we focus on the issues that matter most to you.
You’ll be guided in mind-body awareness practices, work with breath and posture, explore non-athletic movements, and experiment with new stances and ways of acting and being—all in a playful, low-pressure environment.
After each session, you’ll leave with simple home practices to embody the shifts you’re making, along with practical tools to help you tune into your body, regulate your experience and navigate your issues with more clarity, ease and choice.
In our sessions, I act as a guide — but you are always ultimately in charge of what you reveal and do, and what we address together.
